Control Style:
The GT 22 and GTS 22 kilns are available with either manually controlled
infinite switches or
RampMaster II automatic temperature
control. If you go with the RampMaster II check out the
Handheld RampMaster II control
option. This option takes the control off the front of the kiln and gets it in
your hands for easy programming.
Please note that Model GT 22 is a top fired kiln. That is, heating elements are
placed only in the top. Model GTS 22 is a top and side fired kiln. That is,
heating elements are placed in both the top and sides.
Firing Chamber Dimensions:

Suitability:
All glass related firing up to 1800°F (982°C), such as painting, fusing,
slumping, Pate de Verre, etc.. The GT 22 and GTS 22 also excel at lampworking
and other applications requiring annealing.
It should also be noted at this point, that the GT 22 and GTS 22 are designed to
fire a single layer or shelf. Attempting to fire glass below the top shelf is
likely to lead to frustration and disappointment. So.....one shelf only.
The GT 22 and GTS 22 are not really designed to fire Ceramic, Porcelain,
Pottery, China or other "ceramic" related materials.
Recommended Kiln Furniture (Shelving
& Posts):
We recommend the following shelf: 20" x 20" (51cm x 51cm) Square Shelf
- Part # 7440
You'll also need a quantity of posts to support the shelf. What length? We suggest
either 2" or 3" posts. How many? Four posts works well. These will work: 2" (5cm) Tri Post - Part # 7002,
3" (7.6cm) Tri Post - Part #7003
