The Rampmaster w/ Express Mode was designed exclusively for glass work. Express Mode offers an easy, 3 step programming process. Simply key in your glass COE, firing style and firing speed to create the firing program. It's quick, it's easy and it's accurate. The Rampmaster with Express Mode also features many single key features like Skip Ahead, Add Time, Add Temp and Alarm. Of course the Rampmaster continues to offer Custom Mode programming for full artistic control. The Rampmaster with Express Mode has set a new standard for glass kiln design and control. New for 2010 is our updated Alarm package that alerts you when the glass begins to change shape and when it's headed for the anneal. GTS 2541 Features Dyna-Lift Option Click Here for All the Details The Dyna-Lift lid lift assist lightens the force needed to operate the kiln lid. It does so with ease and grace and with no negative effects upon the kiln itself. All lifting forces are directed to the kiln stand, not the flat back of the kiln. The Dyna-Lift lid lift assist is the best designed and best performing lift assist available today.

It's that simple. You’re going to really enjoy this feature. The Swing View Adjustable Control is stock equipped on all GTS 2541's with Rampmaster control.

GTS 2541 Features Viewing Window Option Click Here for All the Details Keep a watchful eye on your firing with our optional viewing windows. Our large, 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” windows are the largest in the industry and offer excellent views of the chamber. Viewing windows are a factory installed option. The GTS 2541 may be ordered with up to 2 windows. We can install windows in the front of the kiln or along the sides. The choice is yours.

GTS 2541 Features Wide Lid Handle At Evenheat we love handles, we always have. Our wide lid handle illustrates this affection by offering a wide handle that’s corner mounted and easy to operate, even with the gloved hand. It’s unlike any other and it’s a joy to use.

GTS 2541 Features Full Stainless Jacket Multi-section kilns are designed to lower production costs for the kiln manufacturer. It's a worthy goal but it comes at the cost of kiln quality. It’s a trade off we’re not willing to make. We build our kilns with full stainless jackets from top to bottom. Full jackets mean absolutely solid, life extending construction. There are no leaks, no shifting, no buckles and no weakness. Insist on Full Stainless Jackets for true build quality.

GTS 2541 Features Corner Mounting Technique The corners of the kiln body and lid provide excellent strength for mounting. The flat sides of the kiln don’t offer this strength, especially on oval shaped kilns. We install our load bearing hinge and lid handle brackets on these corners for this reason. Longer life, high reliability: solid design makes a difference.

GTS 2541 Features 9” or 13.5” Depth Options We produce the GTS 2541 glass kiln in both 9” and 13.5” depths. If you’re painting go with the 9” depth. For more varied work choose the extra depth of the 13.5”.

GTS 2541 Features Properly Sized Kiln Stands We don’t design our stands to fit into our kilns for shipping. We design our stands to support our kilns in use. Our stands properly distribute the weight of the kiln and are made wide to prevent tipping or offsetting. You won’t find our stands in our kilns but you’ll be happy to know they’re beneath them.

GTS 2541 Features 3 Position Lid Vent The lightweight lid created by the Dyna-Lift option allows us to offer a 3 position lid vent system. Lid venting helps remove burn-off from adhesives and paints and comes in handy during the cooling process.

GTS 2541 Features Large Size The GTS 2541 is a fairly large kiln that fits well into private and commercial studio's. Those needing space for volume firing or want to keep their options open on piece size will appreciate the GTS 2541.

GTS 2541 Features Responsive Thermocouples Our thermocouples (temperature sensors) are chosen for their quick response and reliable performance. Our standard thermocouple is a Type K. Type S thermocouples are available by request at additional charge.

GTS 2541 Features Lid Security Bar Dyna-Lift equipped kilns are provided with a lid prop bar that positively keeps the lid in the open position. Simple one handed operation is made even easier with our well designed lid handle.

GTS 2541 Features Lid Power Interrupt Switch Option Our optional automatic power interrupt removes power from all heating elements as the lid is opened and reapplies power as the lid is closed. The switch used for this feature is a true safety switch and is designed specifically for safety applications. Those wishing to enter the kiln during firing should strongly consider requesting this option as an added measure of safety.

GTS 2541 Features Top & Side Fire Configuration Evenheat pioneered the top and side fire glass kiln design. Top fire is essential in glass firing as it heats the glass surface uniformly. The addition of side fire provides heat to the lower portion of the kiln and to help reduce and eliminate bubbles.

GTS 2541 Features Tall 16" Stand Option The GTS 2541 is stock equipped with an 8" stand. We do offer a taller 16" stand for those who wish to raise the kiln.

GTS 2541 Features Vent System Option Evenheat offers the Orton Downdraft Vent System as an option. Is venting necessary in glass work? That depends. Vents are nice if you're firing paints, decals or other items that may need oxygen to develop color properly. Vents also help to remove the fumes which may be generated when firing these types of items. Typical fusing and slumping don't require a vent. Evenheat offers the Orton kiln vent systems exclusively. Orton’s reliable and well considered designs fit well with Evenheat designs and we’re pleased offer their products. Excellent Temperature Distribution Evenheat glass kilns are true to their name and the GTS 2541 is no different. Our designs are well known for their excellent temperature uniformity. They’re done well and you’ll appreciate the performance. PC Software/Hardware Option Our optional “KISS” software/hardware allows you to program, monitor, collect firing data and start/stop your kiln using your PC. Control and monitor up to 50 kilns equipped with the Rampmaster controller. Voltage & Phase Options We design and build in a variety of voltage and phase configurations, including global designs. Please contact us for detailed information. Shelves We recommend using shelves for all firings in the GTS 2541. The large size of the GTS 2541 requires the use of multiple shelves to create your firing surface. We offer two shelving options for the GTS 2541: 3 shelf system that includes 2 21” half round shelves and 1 15” x 21” rectangular shelf 2 shelf system that includes 2 “D” shaped shelves Keep in mind that the shelf must be primed before use and that we do recommend uses posts below the shelves. Posts We recommend using posts to bring the shelves off the kiln floor. This helps to heat the shelf evenly while reducing and eliminating bubbles. While we do offer a wide selection of post heights we do recommend the use of either 1” or 2” posts. We also recommend using at least 4 posts to support each shelf. Suitability The GTS 2541 is designed to fire glass and is quite capable of all glass related firing up to 1800°F (982°C), such as painting, fusing, slumping, casting, etc. It should be noted that the GTS 2541 is designed to fire a single layer or shelf. The nature of the GTS 2541 is to provide heat from the lid elements directly to the shelf containing the glass. Attempting to fire glass below the top shelf is likely to lead to frustration and disappointment. While the GTS 2541 is designed exclusively for glass work it is possible to fire a variety of materials including metal clays, low fire ceramic, china paints and metals processing provided the firing temperatures do not exceed 1800°F.
