Tempering Ovens
Introducing the LT Series of tempering ovens by Evenheat. We heard you loud and clear and the moment has arrived for our line of dedicated tempering ovens.
The LT Series tempering ovens operate from 120V and are capable of tempering operations up to 1200°F (650°C). They are fitted with special limits thermocouples for precise temperature sensing and our Icon control that's been specially configured for low temperature performance.
LT Series tempering ovens can be operated as bench top units or can be placed on top of existing Evenheat KF, LB and KO heat treat models.

Features
Stackable Design
The LT's are designed to be installed on top of an existing Evenheat KF, LB or KO model if desired. This stackable design saves on valuable bench space.
LT tempering oven bases are designed to fit current chamfered and prior rounded corner production models. Even if your Evenheat has some age on it the LT's will still fit. The LT's will NOT fit onto KH models.
LT models are designed to fit atop corresponding depth KF, LB and KO models.
The LB heat treat oven shown above is for illustration purposes only, it is not included.
Stand-Alone Placement
While the LT is designed for stacking onto an existing Evenheat you may also place them directly onto your workbench.
Please note that workbench's must be constructed of non-combustible material and be capable of supporting the load of the oven.
Firebrick Construction
Like all our heat treat ovens, LT models are built completely of firebrick.
Firebrick has the desired characteristic of storing heat and then releasing it slowly and gently during the soak/hold portion of the process. It's this particular quality that serves the heat treat process so well.
Cool Touch Handle
The handle/latch on our swing out door is conveniently located at the front of the door, not hidden along the side. This spring loaded, phenolic handle is cool to the touch, is one-handed in design and serves as the door latch as well.
Relay Access Port
All LT models incorporate our Relay Access Port for simple, no-panel-off relay replacement.
Simply remove the access plate to gain access to the relay. There's no need to remove the control panel and dig into the internal wiring. It's absolutely simple and effective and all it takes is a screwdriver!
It's a given that mechanical relays will fail at some point. This relay access port really comes in handy when they do.
Door Shield
The LT's feature a door shield to provide protection against firebrick damage as well as to reduce the temperature seen at the door and door handle.
Icon Control
All LT models are equipped with our Icon temperature control.
The Icon control is based on Bartlett Instruments Spark platform and is fitted with special limits thermocouples for precise temperature sensing and non-metallic faceplates for excellent Wi-Fi reception for the Bartlett mobile App.
The LT's were designed and tested in 2023 with the help of numerous independent/beta testing sites. These folks were given free-reign to modify the Icon control software and hardware to meet their standards of high performance at low temperature. They nailed it and we implemented their recommendations.
It should be noted that all beta evaluation, testing and modifications were performed on LT's with Quiet Drive Solid State relay configurations only.
1200°F Maximum Temperature
The maximum usable temperature for the LT models is 1200°F (650°C). This maximum is well within the tempering range for the vast majority of steels used by knife makers and machine shops.

120V Operation
All LT models operate from 120V
Power Interrupt Switch
The Power Interrupt Switch removes power from all heating elements as the door is opened and re-applies power as the door is closed.
The switch used for this feature is a true safety switch and is designed specifically for safety applications. This safety switch will literally tear apart and open any welded or stuck contacts - true safety!
Build Options
Quiet Drive Solid State Relay Option
All LT models are available with our Quiet Drive Solid State Relay option.
Our Quiet Drive Solid State Relay System offers tight temperature control, high reliability and increased heating element life. The Quiet Drive is arguably the best designed and best performing solid state system on the market.
Voltage Options
Our default production for LT Series models is 120V, Single Phase.
The Icon control will operate properly on both 50Hz and 60Hz line frequencies. To say it another way, line frequency has no effect. It doesn't matter.
Evenheat recommends that you check your operating voltage before ordering or placing the oven in service.
Voltage Phase Options
LT Series models are produced in a single phase design only.
3 phase Delta and Wye (380V, 400V and 415V) designs are not available.

Accessories
MK2 Blade Fixture
The jury is out as to whether or not a blade fixture is necessary for use in the tempering-only LT models. Many makers simply place their material directly on the oven floor while others feel the need to prop them up. The choice is yours.
The MK2 Blade Fixture can be used in the LT models. Holds up to 6 blades.
Note: This blade fixture is too wide to fit into KH models.
