Studio Pro STP

The Studio Pro STP is our smallest Studio Pro design. It's perfect for one-off projects, jewelry and creating design elements to be used in larger designs. Don't be fooled by its small size, glass studio's large and small find the Studio Pro STP to be a vital and essential tool.

The Studio Pro STP is made with both fiber and firebrick. Fiber for speed and firebrick for its excellent heat-storage and annealing properties. The best of both worlds combined for a true performer.

The Studio Pro STP operates from a friendly 120V and is available with the Icon control.

Features

Front Access

The defining feature of the Studio Pro design is its front access. Simply lift the chamber to expose the entire floor. It's wall-free and wide open.

Front access is perfect for glass placement: simply build directly on your shelf and close the chamber. Front access is also great when using tools that require a horizontal approach such as raking, roll ups and manipulation techniques.

Top Access

The Studio Pro STP features top access as part of the dual access design.

Top access is excellent for the loading of shelves and forms as it allows for easy and precise placement. Top access is also preferred for many vertical-approach manipulation techniques such as embossing.

Top access also makes venting possible with the 2 position vent (see below).

Fiber & Firebrick Design

The Studio Pro STP is constructed of both fiber and firebrick.

Fiber is used to speed up the firing process and lighter weight. We use fiber for both the floor and lid.

Firebrick is used for its excellent heat-storage properties which helps smooth out temperature swings and is awesome for annealing. By its nature, firebrick cleans up the temperature fluctuations that are seen in "all-fiber" kiln designs.

The Studio Pro STP gives you the best of both worlds.

Icon Controller Equipped

As of January 2024, the Studio Pro STP is equipped with the Icon Control.

The Icon is built around Bartlett Instruments Spark platform. The Icon was rigorously field-tested by Bartlett, Evenheat and others over the latter course of 2023. Programming was found to be clean and simple. User interaction with the display was deemed excellent. Performance was nothing less than top-notch. In the end, victory and we're pleased to offer it.

As with other Evenheat control designs, the Icon adds to an existing control platform with improvements like Special Limits thermocouples for precise temperature sensing and non-metallic faceplates for excellent Wi-Fi reception for mobile Apps. The Icon brings outstanding value and performance to the marketplace.

2 Position Lid Vent

Lid venting is great when you're firing off adhesives or binders. It's also great for speeding up the cooling process.

The 2 position lid vent on the Studio Pro STP positions the lid at approximately 1/2" and 1". Just lift and swivel to the height you want.

Bench-Top Operation

The Studio Pro STP is designed to be placed directly on your counter or bench-top.

Bench-top operation positions the kiln at waist level for very comfortable front access use.

Please note that counters and bench tops must be constructed of non-combustible material and be capable of supporting the load of the kiln.

Power Cord Exits at Rear

The power cable on the Studio Pro STP exits the control panel to the rear. This keeps it away from the kiln chamber while keeping your work area free of clutter.

It's a very minor detail but one that we haven't overlooked.

120V Standard Plug

The Studio Pro STP operates from 120V and is equipped with a standard North American 120V plug. Connection is very easy.

We do make the Studio Pro STP in global voltages as well, by request. Please see the Build Options section below for details.

Build Options

Viewing Window Option

Keep an eye on your glass firing without having to peek through an open lid. Order your Studio Pro STP with our 2" x 4" viewing window.

Our viewing window is designed for applications up to 1800°F (982°C) non-continuous. That means all glass firing up to this temperature is absolutely acceptable. The viewing window is not designed for higher temperatures into the ceramic/porcelain/glass crucible range.

All images on this page show the Studio Pro STP with the optional viewing window. The viewing window is not standard and is optional.

Voltage Options

Our default production for Studio Pro STP is 120V, Single Phase.

We do offer to build in 100V, 200V, 220V, 230V and 240V by request.

All controls available on the Studio Pro STP will operate properly on both 50Hz and 60Hz line frequencies. To say it another way, line frequency has no effect. It doesn't matter.

Evenheat recommends that you check your operating voltage before ordering or placing the kiln in service.

Voltage Phase Options

Studio Pro Series (Personal Size) models are produced in a single phase design only.

3 phase Delta and Y (380V, 400V and 415V) designs are not available.

Studio Pro STP Shelf

Shelf - 7-1/4" x 7-1/4"

Generally speaking the Studio Pro STP shelves are rarely posted up and can be set directly onto the fiber base. We do not recommend placing your glass directly on to the fiber base as failure of your shelf primer or other barrier will damage the base.

Posts

Posts are generally not used for the Studio Pro STP shelf but we offer them here in case you would like to use them. We do offer a 1/2" post that may be useful.

Haik Brushes

Our Brushes are a wide and very soft brush used to apply shelf primer.

Shelf Primer - 24oz. (Dry)

Shelf primer creates a layer of protection between the kiln shelf and your glass as it prevents your glass from sticking to the shelf. It is generally applied using a soft brush like our Haik brush. It can also be airbrushed on with the proper equipment.

Our shelf primer of choice is a Hotline product called Hi-Fire. It's supplied in dry form and is mixed with water for application onto the kiln shelves.
